America What Are You Thinking?

Add comment March 30th, 2007

I am not an American Idol fan [no real news there], but every once in a while I am forced to view a portion of the show. You know when they decide to run over so House [now that’s real entertainment] is 10 minutes late I get stuck seeing some of the crap.

All I want to know is what the hell is America thinking? Why in the world is that voiceless, goofball [who needs to swing the closet door wide open] Sanjaya Malakar still on that show. Come on America wake up a smell the coffee and stop voting for the little freak. Actually, stop voting for all the guys; they all mostly suck. One of the girls needs to win this one.

Heck, why not just give it all a rest and stop watching the crap in the first place and let this tired show and Simon’s tired rhetoric die?! Or maybe vote Sandpaper in and let Simon quit like he promised he would.

Vertigo Makes Complete First Issue Classics Available for Free

1 comment March 25th, 2007

Now you can read the full first issues of the many Vertigo series that revolutionized comics!

Head over to DC/Vertigo to download PDF files of the first issues and start reading. I can guarantee you’ll get hooked on at least one story and have to buy the trade paperback or find all the back issues in your local comic stores.

This is like an online version of Free Comic Book Day just everyday.

Acceptable TV

A new series on VH1 produced by funny man Jack Black has a companion website Acceptible.TV where you can watch video episodes and vote for which series will continue. I it a little like American Idol for the little tv series.

Some of the series are better left unviewed. But here is a little example of one, Planet Unicorn.

The theme song is the best part of this one.

Blood Ties

Add comment March 12th, 2007

I first heard of this during a commercial while my roomate was watching Golden Girls reruns one day. I don’t normally watch Lifetime but had to take a look into a series with Vampires and other occult themes on this “woman’s” channel. My Mom even called to tell me it was coming on [she knows how much I like my vamps].

Here is the description right from Lifetime’s site for Blood Ties: “Get ready to take a thrilling ride through the mystical world of private investigator Vicki Nelson, who finds herself solving supernatural crimes after joining forces with the mysterious and sexy Henry, who claims to be a 450-year-old vampire! When sparks start to fly between the unlikely pair, Vicki’s torn between her new fanged friend and her former colleague and sometime lover, Mike.”

I am still on the fence with this one as with all pilots this one did not really rock my boat. But that does not mean the series will not be good. I just need a few more episodes to get into it.

Page Rankings

Add comment March 9th, 2007

So you have a great website but your page rankings are still low. The best way to increase those rankings is to increase links back to your website. One of the more valuable resources you will find in this endeavor is the niche directory.

Take LondonAdervistingDirectory.com. This is small but growing portal to all things advertising in the London Area. So if your site is focused on advertising get yourself linked here. LondonAdervistingDirectory.com is a quality site and if yours is too it will benefit you both to have your site listed there.

Don’t ignore the little guys because they grow. And that growth will only help you. Even if the site is still new it can help you increase your ranking as it adds more and more quality sites to its listings.

One of the best places to locate small niche directories like LondonAdervistingDirectory.com is SelfPromotion.com. Where you can not only submit your site to different indexes, directories and search engines but learn all about what makes a great website.
