I keep getting screwed. Now it is PPP’s turn.

If it is not the guy who decided to almost take my life on Sunday or his insurance company or my insurance company it is everyone else!

Most recently it is PayPerPost. Which quite honestly is normally a great place to work with get some money from your blogs. Which quite frankly thanks to that asshole on Sunday I am in desperate need of!

So I go to PPP to try and find some things to write about and get a few extra dollars to cover some of these bills which are adding up after three days in the hospital and who knows how long out of work and they reject the post without even completely reviewing it!

I always choose things I want to write about and jumped on the Sweeny Todd offer ASAP. I had all my content but had to edit it and change a few things so I put all the required info in the post first and added the trailer before adjusting and adding my personal content.

Normally, it takes them days to even look at a post, but for some reason on the day when it is taking me longer to do anything is the day they are on top of me. I am sorry that the medications I am on for the six broken ribs I have makes me a little slower than normal!

Most days I would be proud to post this badge but not today.

UPDATE: Now they are telling me I did not add all the stupid little code they require. I know I did and posted it exactly like they requested. I double checked and it is all there as requested. Links, codes, images, everything!  They need to take a better look at that post!

Sweeny Todd The Best Choice for Holiday Film Goers

At least Sweeny Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is my choice of films I must see this Christmas. And I don’t even like musicals!

I love Johnny Depp. There really is not too much on his resume that I do not like. Heck it would almost be easier for me to tell you which films he did that I disliked over trying to tell you which ones I loved the best. However, The combination of Johnny Depp and Tim Burton has always proven to be a good one. Just look at their other films they have done together.

Edward Scissorhands is an excellent start. In fact you could almost site that alone as a perfect example of this pairing, but there is also Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory aka Willy Wonka and The Corpse Bride. All of these are great films.

Mr. Burton knows how to immerse us into the dark fantasy realm and Mr. Depp knows how to play the perfect characters for those worlds. I see Sweeny Todd being no different.

I just love Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean films. He is perfectly dark, slightly mad and completely over the top in a wonderfully flamboyant way. The truly makes that character some to love rather than hate. As long as Disney keeps making them I will keep seeing them.

However, I do like the really dark characters Johnny has played in the past too. Secret Window was great. You never know until the very end just how dark and twisted he really is. Looks like Sweeny Todd will give us another taste of scary Depp. Another wonderfully twisted character for Depp was Ed Wood (I just loved seeing him in that angora sweater).

Another film he did which deserved better than what the box office suggested was From Hell the film about Jack the Ripper. Depp did an excellent job and the film was a terrific adaptation of the Alan Moore graphic novel. In fact I am probably going to have to pop that into the ole DVD player while I am out of work due to my accident this past Sunday. Perhaps a Johnny Depp film fest at my house is in order.

What I have Neglected to Tell You Is…

If things appear a little out of sorts, they most likely are. Sunday the 25th of November at 11:30 am a jackass decided he could not wait 5 seconds until we passed him before he turned directly into our lane to make a left hand turn.

 He was either a total idiot who thought 10 feet was enough room or he was on a cell phone and not paying attention. He did not have his turn signal on so we had no warning until his dark green Ford Explorer was already in front of us.

It could have been a lot worse. Thank god we were wearing our seat belts and that the airbags went off. They saved our lives, but not my ribs. I have 6 broken ribs and major bruises from other wounds. But I am alive. And thanks to strong pain killers I am not feeling as bad as I should. But I have only been home from the hospital for one full day now and it seems to be going down hill since I have come home.

Moral of this story kids is pay attention when you are driving and ALWAYS wear your seat belt!
