I may have mentioned this before; as a kid I always wanted an airgun, well we never called them that. To us they were simply BB guns and I wanted one in the worst way. I grew up in a family full of hunters and maybe I wanted to be like my Dad after all I was his little shadow. Then again maybe I just wanted to shoot stuff like cans, targets, or toys not really into hurting anything. (That’s a lesson I did not truly learn until I was old enough to actually go hunting with my Dad and found I could not pull the trigger when the deer was in my sights.)
The BB guns of my day are nothing like the variety of airguns you can get today. Boy, just shopping around online gets those old juices flowing again making want a BB gun even now. Not that I could rationalize my having one in the city, but if I was still out in the country I would have one, or more, in a heartbeat. I would have a row of cans sitting on a fence and start blasting them away like I remember seeing in old movies.
Then I get to wondering what kind I would get if I were to buy myself a BB gun. Would it be a pistol or an automatic like the cool Tactical Force TF11 from Crossman? Even though a rifle is what I always wanted as a kid I don’t think I would get one now though. Funny how that works isn’t it?

I noticed the scale of action figures seems to be going back down in size. Instead of all the hulking, big seven inch pieces of plastic we are once again seeing smaller three inch scale figures in the toy stores.
Since plastic is basically a petroleum based product do you think the trend in smaller toys is being caused by the higher oil prices? I know the cost of action figures and toys is going up. So where does that leave me and my collecting days? Are they numbered? Will I have to stop collecting or simply cut back in the amount of toys I buy? Honestly, I don’t like either option. I don’t want to stop or even reduce collecting my Star Trek figures. Maybe I just need to stop with the other items. No more Indian Jones. No more monsters. No more Lego. NO!

This is a really weird coincidence that golf has come up in my conversations about four times in the past week. So it only seems fitting that I bring it up now. I am not a golfer. If I were I would have had a free day of golf at a local course. That was my first conversation this week. The next was about my uncle who used to play, but my mom and I weren’t sure if he still does or not.
Golf might not be the most exciting spectator sport but it must be fun to play. I think playing golf could be a very fun, relaxing way to spend a day. Out in the sun and fresh air doing something you enjoy doing.
My best friend’s dad travels the country playing different golf course. He usually golfs on the east coast, but I am going to tell him about Las Vegas golfing. I always wanted to go to Vegas, but never thought I wanted to spend too much time on the strip. These trips would be a great way to travel. Visit your destination then stay and play golf in essence killing two birds with one stone. If you are a golfer this is not a bad way to travel, not at all. You might want to check out the Las Vegas Golf Authority to book a fabulous golfing trip now.

While I am bitching about gas prices I might as well keep going. I am really starting to wonder how I am even going to be able to keep my job with the rising prices of gas.
I travel sixty plus miles each way to work. Money-wise that works out to $20 bucks a day (for now). This is a 100% increase over what I was paying per day including my turnpike tolls last year. Just thinking about this puts me into a downward spiral toward a deep depression. So what do I do?

Holy crap have you folks driving your SUVs noticed the price of gas per gallon lately? Don’t you realize you are going through it twice as fast, or faster, than the rest of us? It just might be time to dump the gas guzzler and get into a smaller vehicle or a hybrid.
Okay, so along with gas prices the economy is crap too and you can’t seem to get the car loan you need, or even worse you have maxed out all your credit cards and now have bad credit due to the current economic state (it has happened to a lot of people). Well you might want to look into the Complete Loan Source for your bad credit car loans they’ve got options you might be interested in.
This post about Gas Prices, Car Loans and the Economy was brought to you by the fine folks at CompleteLoanSource.com.

Not all cats are scardey cats. At least not when they start out. Our big boy Boris never was overly afraid of things like trucks driving by or even the vacuum cleaner running. He would just lie there looking around like he was saying, ‘what the heck?’ Yet he never got up to run and hide.
Our other three cats always scurry and hide as soon as the slightest noise starts to spook them. Well, we have noticed that Boris would get caught up in that hurry to leave the room along with the girls. Because of them he has now learned to hide at a loud noise that would not have bothered him before. Thanks a lot girls! (To be honest I do have to say he learned how to be afraid of kids all on his own.)

I have been a member of SocialSpark for two weeks now and I see many possibilities and a few drawbacks.
Of course the biggest plus is the chance to make money from your blog posts. That’s a no brainer. It’s really all about the networking; making connections. Increase your link popularity by taking the blog u back offers from other users.
What’s a blog u back offer you ask? Pretty self-explanatory really. You take someone up on their offer and write a post or review linking back to their blog and they will in turn do the same for you. It is a win-win situation.
The SocialSpark Code of Ethics is clear and concise. Making SocialSpark a pleasure to deal with and search engine friendly unlike other paid post opportunities out there.
So what are the drawbacks? As I mentioned before all the bells and whistles on the site do not allow for users with older browsers. So update your browser or forget it.
Even more annoying than that is the fact that the opportunities are generally not available and you need to wait for a slot. Not too bad as long as you can get to your email ASAP and write the post within the 12 hours allotted to you once they send you a reservation. In my case I get these emails at 12am Eastern Standard Time. Being on the east coast I lose 8 hours right off the bat and cannot always read my email or log into the website before lunch time so I miss out completely. Personally, I don’t think this is fair. They should send these reservations out later giving people 12 usable hours. (The only reason I was able to get this opportunity to write about them was because I just so happened to be up tonight when the email came in, but that is a rare thing for me.)
Then once you get a reservation what do you do with it? The email does not tell you how to proceed. There are no instructions on how to get to the opportunity nor is there a clear indication once you log in on what to do. I had to search to find the opportunity then take a wild stab at what to do next. They don’t seem to want to make this easy on a person do they?
