This mansion is for sale in my neighborhood (okay, so it is about 5 blocks away, but still close enough to see it everyday and say I wish I could have that). Well it is WAY out of my price range and pretty much anyone else’s too. Heck the taxes are almost what I make a year. Guess I will need to start playing the lottery and get at least two more jobs! I would be working 24/7 just to pay the taxes let alone the mortgage.
Great news though the property has been slashed from 1.2 million dollars to a mere $997,500! Well, slashing the estimated value has also dropped those taxes. When I first looked at the house at 1.2 million the taxes were $33,000 now they are $22,000. How the heck could anyone pay those property taxes? But it is really beautiful inside check it out at Kurfiss Realty.

I love robots and I love Lego. So what better combo for me than a Lego Robot? I have the first version of the Mondstorms system and really need to get myself the new one. I love the new functionality and the new look (not such a fan of the technic sets so I was disappointed when this was first announced, but I guess there is only so much one can do with the good ole brick).
How cool is this? A solar charger for the iPod and other small electronic devices. This little gadget could be a life saver when out on the beach and your tunes stop pumping or your cell phone is dying and you are no where near and outlet.
Now mind you it isn’t going to work at night or in a deep dark forest, but it certainly could come in handy when at the beach or the park. Added bonus of making you all the cooler because you are helping to save the environment by not using up all the precious oil to power your gadgets with household electricity. Everybody needs a Soldius 1 solar charger from ThinkGeek.com!
This week’s I Want It Wednesday post is pretty simple. As you can see by my earlier posts I obviously have a Wii. It took me a while and at first I wasn’t sure I was falling for all the hype. Then my nieces got one and I went over to play. Big mistake.
First because the hooked me on Guitar Hero another bit of popular culture I wasn’t going to get sucked into. Well within a week of playing it I had Guitar Hero III for my PS2 and had spent the weekend doing nothing but playing the game. Then the following week I wound up buying the other three games too!
Soon after I jumped on the Guitar Hero bandwagon I decided I would hitch my wagon to the Wii as well. But no Guitar Hero for the Wii has come into play just yet.
This month Rock Band comes out for the Wii and you guessed it, I want it.
I thought Dickies had cool shorts, but compared to the 511 Tactical Shorts I am not so sure any more. These puppies are pretty sweet. They are stylish, built to last, and designed to carry bulky stuff. (You know, like your PDA, cell phone, iPod, etc. Gotta love those pockets.) Besides that you get to look like a cop instead of UPS man. Which is better? I’ll let you decide on your own as for me I like the stuff at LA Police Gear’s website just as good if not better.
A little kitchen voodoo going on here. I love this guy. Stabbed multiple times standing on your kitchen counter. It is soooo much better than those standard blocks of wood.
Available from ThinkGeek.com. This unique artistic knife holder is made of heavy duty ABS plastic and will be the talk of the party! It’s an innovative knife suspension system with individual protective knife sleeves for each blade. The five knives are made from heavy gauge durable stainless steel. The slots are magnetized to secure knives in the holder. Overall, we’d say The Ex Knife Set is very cutting edge!
New feature for me. While I could fill this blog with a daily I want it post I think I will stick to just Wednesdays (mostly). I cannot help it if I am overcome with the feeling of ‘I has to have this’ therefore making me post on other days to, but I will try to stick to just Wednesdays (but I won’t promise not to post more than once each Wednesday). Since this is the first ‘I Want It Wednesday’ I thought I would post something pretty sweet. I have been reading about the robotic dinosaur known simply as PLEO for awhile now and he is finally here and I want one! He is a little out of my price range so if any kind souls wish to donate one for further tests and studies I am the slacker for the job
Remember the Furby? Well Pleo is a Furby to the 100th power. He learns, plays games, sings, walks, and can even talk with other Pleos. There is a whole community out there for Pleo owners at PleoWorld.com. People and animals really respond to Pleo. Check out this video of a Pleo at SeaWorld. The dolphins just don’t seem to know what to make of this little dino. I just gotta get a Pleo. Thanks to the folks over at BotJunkie for reminding me I wanted one of these bad boys.
Pleo will set you back about $350, but after you see this video you won’t mind.
