YouTube was one of those sites I was late to get into. I mean really into. But alas it has happened and I often find myself spending hours looking for comedians, cartoons, LEGO films, silly how-to-videos, silly pet videos and more on YouTube.com. You could waste your time in worse ways you know. The visoes below are pretty funny. I first stumbled on these guys (at least I think it is the same group animation and voice seem the same) on that lame Jack Black TV show that tried to cash in on the YouTube video craze.

My sucky Comcast DVR is at it again. Just like before it has a completely black screen. I have a date with the folks at Comcast to come out and look at things. (This all came about because I posted how awful Comcast is. Someone in the corporate office must have a Google alert for the terms Comcast Sucks and/or Crappy DVR.
Well they are scheduled to come here between 5 and 7 pm. I’ll let you all know what they say about the DVR with the black screen of death (this is happening every time I try to watch something that has been taped or if I try to rewind or pause live TV).
Honestly, I am glad it is doing it again so I have something to show them. Otherwise it would have been no different that my telling the over the phone.
What I hate the most about this is that they have no customer service at all. The people I spoke to were nice enough, but they cannot offer rebates, refunds or free services to make a customer fell better about staying with a service that is as sucky as Comcast is.
I am looking into getting a TIVO if I stay with Comcast, if I leave I will look at DirectTV with TIVO DVR service.
Want to know why Comcast sucks so much?

We are in need of some new rugs in our house and we haven’t found a thing in our area. Lucky for me I have family in Troutdale, Virginia. Where is that you might ask? Well it is in the hills of southern Virginia. It is very close to Bristol, Tennessee. And what does this have to do with rugs? Everything! To get to my Grandmother’s house we have to go through Abington, which is home to the Abington Rug Outlet. This outlet has some of the most beautiful area rugs I have ever seen. The best part is you don’t have to travel to Virginia to get your rugs they have a website, but believe me it is worth the trip. That part of the state is just beautiful.
I’ll give you four guesses why I need new area rugs. Their names are Bela, Abby, Picasso and Boris.

This week’s I Want It Wednesday post is pretty simple. As you can see by my earlier posts I obviously have a Wii. It took me a while and at first I wasn’t sure I was falling for all the hype. Then my nieces got one and I went over to play. Big mistake.
First because the hooked me on Guitar Hero another bit of popular culture I wasn’t going to get sucked into. Well within a week of playing it I had Guitar Hero III for my PS2 and had spent the weekend doing nothing but playing the game. Then the following week I wound up buying the other three games too!
Soon after I jumped on the Guitar Hero bandwagon I decided I would hitch my wagon to the Wii as well. But no Guitar Hero for the Wii has come into play just yet.
This month Rock Band comes out for the Wii and you guessed it, I want it.

The other day we went into our favorite restaurant and they had redecorated. Before they had two different chair styles on either side of the restaurant. To be honest it did not look very good. That might be because one side had worn out wooden chairs and the other side had hard not very attractive metal chairs. Now they had matching seats on both sides. Unfortunately they did not get their restaurant chairs at Affordable Seating. The chairs look cheap and boy are they uncomfortable. I am afraid I am going to have to send them a link to this site so they can see what stylish, yet affordable restaurant chairs look like and maybe they will get something little better next time.

Wii lets you download old school video games by buying points and using those points towards those downloads. Technically you are not buying the games you are licensing the games so I am not sure what will happen should Nintendo ever pull that license. I guess your Wii would just stop playing the games. Which really kind of sucks. Also you cannot play your games on other Wii systems. Again this sucks. I “bought” it I should be able to play it where ever, when ever. So what good is saving the games to an SD card if they can’t travel? Okay, so I’ll still download as it is easier than digging out the old NES to play Zelda.

NYC really is the town I love to hate and hate to love. I live so close, but never get the chance to go to New York. Part of the reason for that is my fear of driving in such a huge city. I am not just afraid I am terrified. And this was even before I ever had my accident.
So how does someone get around the Big Apple if they are afraid to drive there? Get a drive that’s how. There is this limo service Brooklyn and Manhattan called Dial 7. They’ll get me where I need to go and I don’t have to worry about the traffic or the parking.

Okay, not the Wii itself rather the Wii points cards. These are going to be an environmental disaster. The small plastic credit card sized card comes in a 5×7 inch plastic clamshell package. When global warming takes its toll we can all turn to Nintendo and point fingers. Why aren’t these points cards printed on cardboard and why are they in such huge plastic containers?
Nintendo needs to take a page from the pre-paid cell phone people who have been doing this point thing a lot longer. Print on recyclable paper and require the card to be activated by the cashiers at the time of purchase. Come on Nintendo wake up to the greener side of gaming.
I know I will be buying my points right through the console or maybe online if available, but I won’t add any more plastic to the landfill by buying the points through a retailer. Besides if they killed the huge plastic packages maybe they could give us more points for our twenty bucks.

Disney will be rocking the boardwalk in Jersey this summer when the Radio Disney concert hit Wildwood. Guess what? These concerts featuring stars like Raven Symone (That’s So Raven), Mitchel Musso (Hannah Montana) and others will be coming to Morey’s Piers this July.
There will be a free concert every Monday for three weeks ending in a spectacular finale being held at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Tickets for the Wildwood events finale with Raven Symone on July 26th will be on sale through Ticketmaster, the box office and on Morey’s Mariner’s Landing pier during the concerts on July 7, 14, 21.
The free Radio Disney concerts will take place next to the giant ferris wheel on Morey’s Mariner’s Landing pier. Those shows are scheduled for 1pm and 4pm. Parents love that these concerts are free and kids love the Disney stars. It is a match made in heaven (okay, maybe not heaven, just the Disney PR offices).
Here is a list of the free concerts for interested parties:
- July 7 - A Cursive Memory
- July 14 - Jordan Pruitt
- July 21 - Drew Seeley
Morey’s Pier is the place to be this summer for family fun.
Hey, the fun doesn’t stop after the concerts are over. Morey’s Piers is offering season finale ticket holds special deals like ten bucks off admission Morey’s Piers Beachfront new jersey water park or ten dollars off a wrist band good for all three of Morey’s piers, but the best deal is fifteen dollars off the Splash and Ride combo ticket. So if you are looking for things to do in New Jersey head to the Jersey shore this summer for some great music and family entertainment.
