I noticed the scale of action figures seems to be going back down in size. Instead of all the hulking, big seven inch pieces of plastic we are once again seeing smaller three inch scale figures in the toy stores. Since plastic is basically a petroleum based product do you think the trend in smaller [...]

I have always been a fan of the folks who can make custom action figures especially when they are such high quality as those over at Sillof’s Workshop. But these are no ordinary custom figures. What do I mean by ordinary? I guess to clarify; I would say in this case ordinary means creating figures [...]

I love miniatures. Anything in a small scale is great to me. I have been fascinated be mini stuff since I was a kid. Maybe that’s why I like LEGO so much, the mini figures that come with each set. Most recently I was very excited to hear Playmates toys would be getting the license [...]

I picked these up a few weeks back for my monster toy collection [it is not all Star Trek you know]. I got the ghoul, gargoyle, and mummy, but there are six all together. The other three are a werewolf, vampire, and zombie. Of those three, I think the only other one I might get [...]

The other day I received several boxes in the mail all containing Star Trek goodies. At first I was extremely excited and happy to be having such a geeky good day. But that feeling faded quickly. First up was a small envelope, which contained my Spock Elf mini mate. He was all perfect and minty [...]

Diamond Select Toys has announced that they will be making a boxed set of minimates based on the film Silence of the Lambs. Come Closer, Clarice… To enter the mind of a killer she must challenge the mind of a madman.  Next in our continuing line of Movie Minimates releases comes this Minimates set based [...]

I have a huge Star Trek collection. I display the majority of it loose on shelves. This can be a huge problem when it comes to dusting to the toys, models and other collectibles. I really need a good solution to protect and better display my stuff. That’s where Potomac Display company comes in handy. [...]

I just love getting free stuff in the mail. I had signed up for the Diamond Select Toys newsletter quite a while ago and haven’t bought from them in about a year, but this morning I got a little package in the mail from them. It contained two single minimates. One was from their The [...]

I order these puppies last week and they arrived today. These were apparently only available [or originally available] at the Star Wars Celebration IV. If you are familiar with the concept artwork by Ralph McQuarrie for the original Star Wars [A New Hope] then these will look familiar otherwise they look very wrong.  The figures [...]

Hasbro has come through. Now all I have to do is head over to their site and actually place an order for my very own Stan [the man] Lee Action figure. He can also turn into Spider-man and save the day.

I should really read my toy magazines when I get them. Just saw in both Toyfare and Toy Shop magazines that Hasbro has an exclusive Stan Lee action figure.  Oh will I never learn! I gots to get me one of those! On a more positive note I heard from someone that they picked up [...]

Personally I hate exclusives. And I especially hate them when they are impossible to get. I am referring to the Star Trek Snoopy and Woodstock bobble heads from Funko. Which are only available at San Diego Comic Con [going on right now].  Being on the east coast I cannot easily or affordably head over and [...]

It is the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars and everything seems to be turning into something from a galaxy far, far away. Take a look at the US post office for one. R2D2 mailboxes have been popping up in cities all over the country. And now FatHead is bringing us some great Star Wars wall [...]
